Update time. We cleaned out the car yesterday. Damn! we had a lot of crap in there. Anyway, now we just need to get the settlement check so that we can get me a Soul. We did look around at a few other car possibilities but none of the ones in the same price range had enough leg room for me to be able to drive them.
When we checked the mail yesterday, we had 12 mailings from 11 different lawyers (one sent a package & a card) offering to represent me. They did include a copy of the police report which we finally got to see. It was a mess. It said that the other guy was at fault. The other guy's statement was not even close to the one he gave on the scene and the witness lied entirely. Plus, but the diagram shown didn't reflect any of the statements on the report or the truth of the accident. Still, I know I'm not to blame and I will be contacting those lawyers and having them sue everyone involved to the whole thing. I don't take lies and falsifying police reports well.
As for the physical, My thigh has been giving me all sorts of grief. It feels like a hot knife is slicing through the muscle at the bottom of the bruised area (even when it is at rest). The range of movement in my arm is much more hampered. It looks like there's a fist-sized mass bulging out of the side of my arm and that's what's straining the muscles and making it hurt. Sleep is still spotty at best. I am trying to keep upbeat, though.
We went out last night to the
Westfield Playhouse production of "Lafferty's Wake". It was really fun but I will include a word of warning for the shy. The audience is a HUGE part of the show. Expect to be called upon at any moment and be up for anything. Still, it's a great show and we ended up bring home a copy of "Pass the Potato" - the home game.
Today we made it to church, picked up a few groceries and are back home now.
I hope you are all doing well and I will talk to you again soon.
TTFN!
