Well, the weekend got better than my last post would make you think. I ended up chatting with one of my new Facebook friends which really helped me to pass the time and not feel so alone.
Saturday didn't exactly go as planned but it still went rather well. I had planned on going downtown to the Firefighter's 150th anniversary (because
Mother Grove were going to perform) but we ended up getting off schedule so that didn't happen. Besides, I'll see them Friday night when I go to the Irish Fest.
That evening we did go to the "After-the-Con Bash". We had a lot of fun and played some really games. It was really very nice. I also found out that I need to make a nun's habit for next year's GenCon event. That should be really fun.
On Sunday we went to
The Civic to see their production of "Evita". It was excellent. It's really hard for me to properly review this show as every single performance was fantastic. However, I will make mention of the leads in that as wonderful as Mikayla Anne Reed was as Evita, Colin Poynter's Che was really the star of the show. He interpreted the snide, sarcastic tone of his role perfectly. This was a brilliant rendition of a wonderful show. If you are anywhere in the area, you really should do all that you can to see it. I know I would see it again if I could fit it in my schedule(honestly, I'd see every performance if I could).
Today was my second tax class. It went very well. I'm already coaching my classmates and helping with class some which really gives me confidence in that I'm going to kick some major ass once I get to work for them.
Not too much else going on right now. I hope you're all doing well yourselves. I will talk to you again soon.
TTFN!
