I should have posted yesterday but was in too much pain to do much of anything. Anyway, on Tuesday night we saw a preview of the movie, "The Soloist" and I need to tell you about it.
The movie was absolutely amazing. The performances were sheer perfection and the music was beautiful and uplifting. I can't recommend this film enough. You really need to see it. However, the studio really should have held it until later in the year because it deserves so many Oscar nominations and will likely get forgotten when voting time comes around.
Our showing was pretty wild, though. They had the Franklin High School orchestra play for us before the show began. It was a wonderful touch and I was very glad they did. It really set a great mood and got things off to a nice start. However, when the movie started, for some reason there was no sound. Not only was this annoying but it was probably the worst film ever for this to occur during. Still, they finally got the film started again with sound.
