So, this weekend was eventful. We saw a couple of shows and I got to spend some time with veronica_rich which was really nice.

The shows we saw this weekend were "On Thin Ice" at The Phoenix and "Christmas Belles" at TotS.

The Phoenix show was really good. It had a lot of short skits and included several "Inappropriate Letters to Santa". However, it was slightly diminished by blatantly stealing one skit from "That Mitchell and Webb Look". It was a bit funnier that they made Amy Winehouse the butt of the joke but it was still the exact same skit which really irked me. Otherwise, the show is great. The first skit, "Balls" sets a wonderful precedent for what to expect and would be the best of them all if not for "Oy Vey, Maria".

Last night we saw "Christmas Belles" and it was hilarious! It centers around a small Texas town putting on their Christmas pageant (Bethlehem A Palooza). The cast was perfect and they did an amazing job portraying the various hicks that populate this trashy little town. I highly recommend you go see this show if at all possible. It is totally worth it and a laugh riot.

On Saturday afternoon we went out to the Track and toured the Racing Museum. We've always wanted to go there and since it was free as part of a city-wide 12 days of Christmas promotion, we made sure we took advantage of it. Plus we needed to pre-scout out the place for when the nephew visits. He's going to love it.

After doing a bit of shopping we went to Red Robin so I could get my Birthday burger. I had them custom make me one with pesto, lettuce, swiss, mushrooms and grilled pineapple on a jalapeno cornbread kaiser roll. Needless to say, it was amazing. I had planned to get a gingerbread shake while we were there but beldar noticed that they had a bottomless gingerbread fizz on the menu so I go that instead. It was great! It had a shot of gingerbread syrup, some ice cubes, sprite and was topped with whipped cream and gingersnap crumbs. I drank three of them. We have all of the necessary ingredients to make them at home so I can have more of them whenever I like.

I loved spending time with veronica_rich. We went shopping a bit and mostly just hung out together and had a good time. Again, I wish she lived closer so we could do that more often.

As for today, I'm at work. The bitch is driving me crazy but the boss isn't in so I'm holding myself back from killing her (still against the law in this state). I hope everyone out there had a great weekend. I will talk to you again tomorrow.

TTFN!
