So, this weekend was wonderful. Friday night's show ("bare:The Musical') was amazing. I have to get the soundtrack so that I can learn all of Nadia's songs. However, I had a "cut a bitch" feeling during the whole thing as the two people next to us in the theater talked (Loudly!) during the whole thing. It was not only incredibly rude but one of them is in the next production at Wheeler so I advised the cast of the show that they should go to it and talk loudly during their performance. Still, the show was great. The cast was energetic and fantastically talented and you really missed out on this one (since it was self-financed, they could only afford one weekend of shows).

Saturday was also fun. We saw the X-Files movie in the morning. It was okay but not spectacular. Probably the most disappointing thing I've seen in a while. Still, Billy Connolly is wonderful even as a skeevy pedophile.

After the movie, we ran home, got our food and headed over to the Whoosier Network picnic. While we had a great time, it was very hot. beldar was good enough to get me some water and I soaked my clothes thoroughly and that really kept me cool for the rest of the day. I had tried to encourage a water war for this purpose but nobody brought any weaponry so just dousing myself worked almost as well. We ate a bit, played games and hung out. It was a great time.

At one point during the evening, a small preying mantis showed up and crawled all over me. There are numerous pictures of him in my hair (and later in friendstephen's) and all over us. We finally took him to a distant tree to keep him off of us (we were starting to refer to him as a raping mantis). Keep an eye out for a possible website for him at www.whoosiermantis.com.

After we packed everything up, several of us headed over to Jockamo's for dinner. It was nice and they actually had a couple of pizzas on their menu that I could eat (my dietary restrictions suck). After dinner, astria came over to our place and we made him watch an episode of "Middleman". It was the Trout Zombie episode and I had already seen it in the hospital but it was still really fun.

Sunday we went to church and then ran a few errands and went to The Journey for brunch. Their prices were decent being lunch and since I can eat almost any type of sushi I want (no soy sauce, though), I was wonderfully satisfied. Afterwards we went home and watched some stuff on the DVR and then went to TotS for "A Very Merry Unauthorized Children's Scientology Pageant" which was adorable. It really told the whole story of Scientology without holding anything back and the kids were amazing especially the youngest one who had so many lines and huge words in her part. If you're in the area, you really need to get by to see this show. Plus, they are running a special that gives you a $10.00 discount off your ticket with a receipt from either Out Word Bound Bookstore, Indy CD & Vinyl or Big Hat Books. So, go see this show.

After the show we returned home for more DVR clearing and then hit the sack.

Today's going very well so far. I made it to work a little early. I'm leaving at 4 so I can get to the doctor's and then tonight is Lesbian Bible Study.

I hope all of you had a great weekend. I'll let you know how the doctor's thing turned out.

TTFN!
