Well, the weekend was nice. Friday's meeting was really fun. I introduced
astria to Vietnamese food and we watched "Voyage of the Damned" as well as Mark's rough cut of his "Deal or No Deal" audition tape.
Saturday's show at Beef and Boards was fantastic. The show was "Run for Your Wife" a British farce about a cab driver who has two wives. The casting was perfect and the laughs just never stopped. It was probably one of the best shows I've ever seen at Beef & Boards. It's definitely worth getting out to see if you can.
Unfortunately when we arrived home from the show we had a message telling us that
beldar has to work hospitality at the church so Sunday wasn't quite as nice as it could have been. However, we did get most of the laundry done and we finally got to watch the Rose parade. We taped the show on both ABC and The Travel Channel (which took up Home & Garden's mantle of showing the whole thing in depth). I'm really glad we taped the Travel Channel's show because we watched ABC first and they left off at least a third of the floats (including many prize winners). Their coverage was really pathetic (I only chose them as the network because they gave an extra half hour of coverage than the other two channels and I hoped they would have a more complete show). Also, the Travel Channel ran text messages along the bottom of the screen during the show. The best of which was "Stop reading these texts and watch the parade". There were some cute messages including proposals but there was one divorce request and someone had their proposal refused. Still, it was a nice addition to the festivities.
Not much happening this week. There is a "Pay What You Can" performance of the new show at
the Phoenix, "End Days" on Wednesday. I heard great things about it from Lou Harry who saw it Friday night so it should really be good. I'll remind you about the show more tomorrow and Wednesday.
I am enjoying the warmth today. It's nice to be in the 60's especially since last week it was 4. It's supposed to get colder later this week but still stay in the 30's to 40's so that's not too bad. Of course it's also supposed to be very rainy which makes me notice that I need new shoes even more. I think pretty much all of mine have some sort of leak in them.
Other than that, not really much else happening. I hope everyone out there is doing well. I will talk to you again soon.
TTFN!
