(no subject)
My computer is screwed up and I can't fix it. I need help people! Please, if you have an idea, let me know.
What is wrong is that I have a 2 & 1/2 inch white bar down the left side of my screen. It is on top of the screen meaning that it covers that much of the image. This is new because yesterday (when this started) it bumped the entire desktop screen over that much.
It is solid white and has the following three bars in it: Folder Tasks; Other Places & Details. The Details bar either displays the word Desktop or the details of the last program used.
You cannot right click in the area at all. We have tried looking through everything in the Control Panel and nothing is linked to this. It does not show up on Task Manager as anything. We have gone through every possible thing we can to try and make this damn thing go away but we can't seem to fix it.
If anyone out there can help me, I'd really appreciate it. I am ready to throttle this damned machine to get this to go away. I really don't handle this sort of change well and I am having trouble accessing things since most of my desktop is all screwed up. Please, help me!
