(no subject)
Hey everyone! Sorry I didn't update sooner but work has been hectic and we had a batch of storms roll by today that knocked out our power for a while so this is my first opportunity to get to this today.
Anyway, things are doing OK. They could be better but for now I will settle for OK. I am having a lot of trouble getting any packing or cleaning done at home. I try but it seems so overwhelming and I'm not really getting much assistance so it's not going very well. Plus we need boxes. beldar is supposed to scour some of the area liquor stores today for some. Hopefully, he'll find some & we can get some packing done. Also, I'm considering seeing if we can go ahead and get a key so that we can take some stuff over this week ourselves to get it out of the way and give us some space to work with.
Beyond that, Saturday evening we escaped our place for the after-con bash. It was really great. A lot of kewl people were there (and very few of the various "people of a rectal nature" whom hate us). We played Apples to Apples and came up with the best match ever: Touchy-Feely = Helen Keller.
Sunday I skipped church because I was hoping to get something accomplished (I didn't really) and that evening we had a huge fight with the bitch upstairs. Her kid was trampling my flowers and breaking stuff on my porch so I tried to throw water on him and his punk-ass friends but missed. Anyway, she threw a fit about my telling her brat not to be on my porch and not to break my property (they've already broken two fence posts and damaged our screen). Again, I am so glad we are moving away because she blared her music all evening just to spite me (however, she doesn't know that since the last time they "fixed" our Air Conditioner it makes such a racket I can barely hear them).
Monday work was busy and right before time to leave we got hit by an awful cloudburst. I waited a while for it to let up but eventually just ran for the car. On the way home I stopped by Saraga and bought a bunch of Dim Sum so that even though we couldn't go to Yummy for lunch (as is our 9/11 tradition), we could still have Dim Sum. I bought way too much trying to get a good variety so we have enough for at least 2 more meals (Yea!). One exciting thing was that they had Pumpkin buns. If they still have them later in the month I will get some more for Holiday entertaining. Oh yeah, I need a new steamer.
