(no subject)
Quick update post. Yesterday was hectic. I got the cookie dough made but will need to get the cookies baked tonight. I didn't get my hair colored and if I don't do it tonight then I probably won't do it until before GenCon. The get-together at our friend's house was interesting. We were almost killed and almost burned down Vanderjagdt's old house (read: crazy maniac setting off the fireworks) but the food was great and we had a nice time.
It looks like the convention gaming drama is continuing still. It seems that the LARP assholes have been reigned in quite a bit (especially by the hotel which never gave them permission to play in the common areas whatsoever). They're not part of the convention and we are in no way responsible for them or anything they do. However, we got emails from two last minute GMs. One of whom is camping out in his car at the hotel right this minute. He says he has no money or way to get any and expects to be comped into the con and have room & board provided for work that he may or may not actually do. Talk about unprofessional (especially when he's listing all the cons he's been doing this to). Needless to say, this year's convention is going to be very interesting.
Not much else to say right now. I hope everyone had a great Holiday (those that celebrated) and will post again tomorrow.
