Indeed, it would be nice to see it and I'm sure RDM wanted to do something about it, but I've read or heard somewhere that CKR was simply busy with something else (Californication I think) when they were filming season 4. He didn't sign any contract with BSG, so he didn't have to appear there if he couldn't. It's a shame though that he couldn't do more episodes, given the fact that even Katee Sackhoff said that Leoben is The One for Starbuck :)
I agree. I heard that CKR had a tight filming schedule at that time. You know, I'm just sad that they only gave Leoben one pointless scene in the last episodes. I would have totally been okay with one scene, but something more meaningful albeit short would have been nice. :)

OMG!OMG!OMG! You literally made my year with this. For some reason I always thought that Katee had said it was Lee but kept hearing murmurs of Leoben. Now now I have proof muahaha. Lee always seemed more like a BFF if anything else as well as Sam not being able to handle or understand her. But Leoben being indestructible as well as knowing her inside out I thought was perfect for her. Thanks again ^_^
So say we all. Katee managed to have her way for the closure with Sam, not with Leoben. As bigbadblackhole said here, there were contract and timing issues, still with the one or two Leoben episodes of season 4.5, they could have done better :(
I think there was some closure on the nonverbal level. Their whole body language changed at the end. Kara seemed way more relaxed in his presence. And only in HIS presence... But maybe I read to much into it:)
Oh- and the relationship with Callum, with Leoben, I always thought - needed closure, and there wasn’t any, that’s frustrating.
I agree. Ron Moore deserves a kick in the nuts for that. Grr.
