Battlestar Galactica Season 4 Video blogs & other behind-the-scenes vids (interview)
A compilation of Callum’s appearances in Battlestar Galactica videoblogs or dvd extras. Very short appearances in a few videoblogs (length mentioned is that of the total vid, Callum’s presence measures in seconds), they’re more like one short interview cut in several slices. Published in 2008 and 2009, they were filmed in 2008 with Season 4 and ‘The Plan’. The order they are presented is based on Callum’s looks (!). Also included, some vids where he appears without being interviewed.

The vid includes clips of behind-the-scenes filming from episode 4x05: 'The Road Less Traveled'. Callum is in it twice:
What's good about the show? What's good and weird about the show? A lot of times I don't know what's happening. I don't know what is going on, I don't know where we are. I don't know why I'm doing half the things I'm doing. And I mean that in the best way.
Things kind of start to piece together. Like- I kind of get- OK, we're moving towards some sort of idea with Starbuck and Earth and something, but a lot of it I don't know. I'm thinking about, how do I get David Eick to put me on Bionic Woman?

Various cast members are interviewed, including directors Michael Rankin and Michael Rymer, and Jamie Bamber. The vid is a behind-the-scenes for episode 4x10: ‘Revelations’, it includes a few shots of Callum, who is not interviewed.

I really was surprised by the scene in that episode where I'm killed and I step over myself, that surprised me, I liked that a lot.

Cylons: The Twelve, from S4.0 DVD extras (January 2009)

Cast interviewed are Aaron Douglas, Michael Hogan, Michael Trucco, Grace Park, Tricia Helfer, Rekha Sharma, Callum Keith Rennie, Jamie Bamber and James Callis. Each of the Cylon models is presented in numerical order, except for the final fifth who is discussed at the end, during a ComicCon panel with Ron Moore and David Eick. The vid includes excerpts and filming footage from 4x05: ‘The Road Less Traveled’, 4x07: ‘Guess What’s Coming for Dinner’, 4x10: ‘Revelations’ and 4x14: ‘Blood on The Scales’. And two lines by Callum:
They had a breakdown about all the Cylons, their specific deal was-, which I’ve never seen, and I was never talked about, so it’s a funny thing to read, to go, oh, that’s where it all comes from and that’s what my thing is and that’s how I approach the- the things that were happening around me as they happened.
I have no idea what’s going to happen or where we’re goin’ or how we’re going to get there.

The actors interviewed are Michael Trucco, Rekha Sharma, Grace Park and Callum Keith Rennie, together with Ron Moore. The vid is about the Cylon story bible (a document called ‘Life on a baseship’). The bible excerpt for Leobens says Leobens - see life outside the box of the material world. They have found ways of calculating variables and data outside the [normal world, and this allows them] and other Cylons to see beyond the here and now. Commented by Callum (same line as above):

Also, one excerpt from the Cylon bible about clothing: Clothing being a purely aesthetic choice, there are times when we may wish to enter a room where total or partial nudity is on display, without it being remarked on by any of the Cylons. Commented by Grace Park (about nudity and the (female) Cylons): I don’t know why it’s never one of the Cavils, or the Simons, or the Leobens.

I actually never know what’s goin’ to happen. And I don’t know what kind of justice or due diligence… And it’s sort of - I don’t know how it’s gonna end, so - do this episode, and I come back, and do some more in a bit, and- I’m as surprised as anyone of what’s going to be picked up for real. I have no idea what’s going to happen or where we’re goin’ or how we’re going to get there.
