(no subject)
As promised I am back! After being without internet for two weeks and busy packing and hauling everything to the new place I think it totals around a month or longer that I've been gone :(Almost everythings set up now though, new TV package, new internet connection and in a few months we'll get the landline phone put in it probably would have been sooner but due to the drastic need/addiction I have involving the internet me and Stian both brought the HTC desire phones with unlimited internet access... Probably not the best decision when your as skint as us right now but I was without internet AND my phone was breaking so in my eyes that fully justifies it... Sort of...
We are still unpacking boxes and heading over to the old apartment today to do some more cleaning, Stian's mum is moving in there since her new place was a disaster which was all well and good for us to start with until she decided she would start to haul her moving boxes in the SAME day that we were moving out! Not helpful. And we have had to clean the place shifting all the boxes out of our way and trying to work out if any of our bits are left behind amongst her bags and boxes, still after today it should all be done and dusted - literally!
March is definately proving to be much better than February, the snow is FINALLY melting off the lawn and sidewalks (Though its still at that slushy,muddy stage which means Teddy needs showering after EVERY walk! He does not appreciate that fact whatsoever.) Its gone from highs of -2'c to 13'c, okay I know thats still not 'hot' by any means but its a definate improvement and means I don't have to wear thermals underneath everything and spend a good two hours getting dressed in the mornings! Also I've managed to force myself back into drawing, I do love to sketch, I always have, but I find it a tremendous amount of effort for something that usually looks much, much worse on paper than it did in my head, however very gradually thats starting to change now I'm putting more time into it. I'm aiming to improve my realistic style at the moment as I've only bothered with quick cartoons which required 20 minutes as appose to a proper sketch that requires 1-3 hours...
I really ought to sort out a scanner as phone pictures/lighting ruin sketches. I promise this looks better in person, honestly it does. I found my way to Amazon and ordered some good quality pencils etc. as I currently have two okish ones and I keep blaiming them for my inability to shade (Its probably me but it feels better to blaim inanimate objects.) I also 'might' have added some water colour pencils to the basket as I really want to try my hand with adding some colour and more depth to the images. Anyway I'm boring you with art talk now!
