Location: Outside gate D42, Singapore Airport
I'm waiting for the plane to Paris. I am alone and tired and just spent too much on ugly scarves and a tacky watch. I don't even know why I bought them.
My flight from Brisbane was long and sort of boring. I sat next to a guy wearing a Beatles shirt (which, strangely enough was the guy who my friends and I had noticed at the airport. I hoped I could sit next to him, as anyone who genuinely likes the Beatles can''t be too annoying)
He was from Germany and was really nice. A model example of a good plane passenger neighbour. I would be bored here all on my merry own if it weren't for the people moving conveyor belt thingys.... Which, let me tell you, are highly amusing to watch. AND [like it could get any better] when walked on they make you feel like you're walking very, very fast.
My stupid "comfortable flats" are the most awful pair of ungreatful shoes on the planet. They tried to look all comfortable and nice in the shop so I would buy them... and I, the fool, fell for it.
Is it too much to ask for shoes to stay on my feet, not give me blisters and NOT stink something terrible?? Is it?
I feel sort of yucky. I need a shower, a change of clothes and something need to happen to my hair...
I can't believe what I ate on the plane. Got only knows what was in the meal. It would have had butter in it. There would have been oil. I ate the fruit and the green tea and tried to ignore the rest of the meal. Why am I hungrier on the plane than I normally am?
I am not going to think about it.
ooooooh I think the gates open soon!! How exciting!! It doesn't feel like I am in Singapore. It feels like I am in "some random location".
I didn't mention BUT I have indeed adopted an English accent. And you want to know why? Because I can. And nobody here suspects a THING!
I am now in some other waiting room. I'm not looking forward to this flight. The 8 hour one felt like forever and this one is closer to double that than the same. Out the window is a brilliantly thin girl. Very thinspiring. Shall not eat on this flight.
