IKEA'ed
As promised, I have some before and after pics of my new rec room. I totally love it! And I tossed some pictures of my other purchases in there for fun, too. :D
I bought us a new feather duvet. We haven't had one in years since our old dog ruined the one we used to have. Justin has been wanting another one for a while but they're so expensive. Then I found this one at IKEA for $59. Um? Yes please! The cover and pillow cases were only $16.99!
A new shelf for the bathroom makes my linen closet *slightly* less packed. If nothing else it means that guests can just grab a clean towel off of the shelf instead of having to endure the mess that is my linen closet. :)
New Tickle Trunk for the kids' dress up clothes.
This is my soloution for my earrings, it's a pencil holder but whatevs, I put my hair clips and things inside and hang my earrings on the outside. I had to do something to clean up my jewlery box, everything pilled on top of everything else wasn't working any more. I also bought a rail and some hooks to hang my necklaces on, but I'm not going to screw it onto the wall until we get Gabe moved out of our room, and our furniture is re-arranged.
Finally, the rec room.
Before. Not a lot of storage going on. Plus that T.V. stand Justin sawed in half because the new T.V we got from Michelle wouldn't fit.
Bleh.
Michelle and I worked hard after the kids went to bed.
