Anne got Matthew indoors as quickly as she could to avoid the mayhem, but it wasn't quickly enough. Oh, that wasn't to say he wasn't safe, for he was safe and sound inside the compound where there were toys and books and things to distract him, but not quickly enough that he didn't hear the sounds of the creatures.
Apparently, it was much more exciting to imitate giant beasts than the chickens or the cows or Logan.
The roar erupting from Matthew nearly shook the furniture, and left more than one person looking at the very least startled, if not terrified. Anne could not blame them in the least, for if she did not know it was Matthew she would have been quite frightened herself.
"Matthew, please don't," said Anne. "Let's play with the cats, wouldn't you like to make nice kitty noises?"
Matthew roared again, and if his physical imitation of the creature wasn't very accurate, his vocal imitation was dead on.
"Matthew!" said Anne, shaken herself at the noise. "Matthew, please!"
But Matthew was still delighted with this new game of his, and while he carried out the letter of his mother's request-he stopped making that particular sound-he carried on with an imitation of the thunderous footsteps themselves.
"Matthew Triton Shirley, you stop that this instant!"
[ooc: Matthew's power is the ability to perfectly mimic sounds and voices, so it will actually sound as though Godzilla is inside the compound. ]
