So, maybe he should’ve known ahead of time, but trying to convince Kurt to come to the club? Was a big mistake. And kind of weird, when he thought about it. When he’d made the offer, it hadn’t occurred to him that he was opening that night, and that his job was to get naked in front of people, on a stage. And it was the look on Kurt’s face that got ( Read more... )

He wasn't going to brag about it, but Coop was fairly certain that he'd gotten the best surprise power out of everyone on the island. Of course, the only reason he wasn't going to brag had more to do with the fact that his mouth was full most of the time than anything else, but still.

He thought about a certain food and poof, there it was. And all of it tasted even better than he remembered. That probably had something to do with the fact that he just hadn't had any of it in so long, and not because of some weird island thing.

Currently, he was working his way through a pack of Ho Hos. He'd considered ordering a drink to wash them down, but instead, out of nowhere, a giant chocolate milkshake appeared on the table in front of him.

He giggled, the sound emitted not at all something befitting a man his age, but he couldn't have cared less.

His diet totally started the following morning.

Maybe.

Trixa was wandering, mingling, meeting some new people and that's when she saw it. And once she saw it, she could have sworn she smelled it. She had to know, because whoever was making those had a friend for life in one Trixa Iktomi.

"Please tell me that milkshake has a friend who's single and looking for a good time."

"...oh, God, don't talk about the food like it's sentient." Because next thing they knew, the Island would have itself a brand new bright idea and poof. Instead of having a conversation with someone over dinner, they'd just find themselves having a conversation with dinner.

"Sorry, didn't mean to be creepy." Giving the man a smile, she extended her hand. "Trixa Iktomi. AKA, the woman who hasn't seen a milkshake since the holidays. Withdrawl's been a bitch."

And while her pride wouldn't allow her to beg, it didn't stop her mouth from watering and her stomach to churn in anticipation. Her sweet tooth, while restrained here on the island, was still a mighty force in her life and it was a wagon she'd willingly fall off of given the opportunity.

"Uh, Fitch Cooper." AKA, the guy who feels like a total douchebag.

"If it were up to me, I'd give you twenty--" Or course, that's when twenty more appeared on the table. "No. No! I said 'if'!" He yelled at the invisible Powers That Be that were responsible. "Christ. Shit, I'm sorry. I can't share anything that pops up. You know that saying about taking candy from babies? Yeah, well, this morning? I was the asshole who actually took candy from babies." It was probably the worst possible way to figure out that none of the manically appearing food was transferable. "They cried."

Oh, that was not fair. It just. Wasn't. Fair. "So you meant to tell me that I can't have any of these delectable delicious shakes that are right in front of me?"

Her hand hovered over the nearest one, holding steady even as Trixa could smell the chocolate in front of her. She was seriously considering offering sexual favors at this point.

"Nuh-uh. Touch them and they vanish," he lamented with a sympathetic look. He wasn't sure if he could take making anyone else cry because of his power.

Spider-Man didn't make babies cry.

Well that sounded like a challenge. One Trixa took, letting her hand fall, trying to grasp the ice-creamy goodness. And as predicted, it vanished as if it had never been there before.

Which was kinda neat on it's own. Easily amused, she started touching all the other shakes, making them disappear one by one. "Easy come, easy go, this island lives it's little tricks."

When the last one, save for the one in front of Fitch, is gone, Trixa rested her chin on her hand. "I can respect a good trick, but that's just a little petty, don't you think?"
