Normally, Danny doesn't willingly go into the water.

There's riptide and there's the fear of drowning and there are sharks (Jaws left a very heavy imprint in Danny's mind when he was a kid and that's not something you get away from so easily). He knows all those things, but when Danny wakes up that morning and destroys a hefty amount of property because of his breathing, he knows that it's not a normal-day, not at all. Hell, it's almost lucky that Danny knows Superman because that's just some super-breath he's got going on.

It also means that he's got one hell of a lung capacity going on, which is why he's taking advantage of it this one and only time and going swimming when he's not scared that one good wave will suck him under and his lungs'll give out. This one time, Danny might be swimming for fun and not for survival.

He's still having issues with controlling the output, sure, but when he comes ashore to grab his towel, he actually feels a little refreshed -- he almost feels like he can see why people get up at the ass-crack of dawn to do this. It's almost enough to calm him after the morning he's had, but truth be told, there's still that faint buzz of irritation under his skin. He stares out to the horizon, rubbing the towel through his soaking wet hair and has to wonder if anyone can really calm down after finding out the way you breathe can cause a practical tornado. Plus, there's the whole 'my partner has a greener thumb than a sick smurf'.

Hell, it's a good thing he hadn't sneezed all over the dog, or Zulu might be in pieces.

Danny smirks to himself as he watches the waves come in and just because he can, he exhales -- hard -- and takes immature delight in watching the wrecked waves collide several feet from shore, all because of something he did.

[Find him on any shore. ST/LT welcome!]
