He feels himself stiffen, even though he fights against it; that isn't what she needs from him right now. Every so often, he gets reminded that he's a father now like a punch to the gut.
After digging her boyfriend out of a grave with her bare hands, Lux heads home and finds she doesn't have the energy to keep lying to Baze about what happened in Gotham.

"I told him I'd be there," Lux admits, guiltily dropping her gaze down to the hem of her yellow dress. "And then I just couldn't."
Lux misses Jason's tea party, and is relieved to discover Tim wasn't that happy about going, either.

"You told me once you wouldn't get tired of me," she says, only barely managing to catch her chin before it begins to tremble again. "Just promise me you won't ever take that back, no matter how screwed up things get."
After the party, Jason shows up at Lux's to find out why she didn't attend as promised. There's a lot of tears before things end up okay again.
