Two years ago Delirium had ruined a pair of Stephen Colbert shoes. Two years ago she was in an elevator with Stephen and Sweet when she had gone into labour. Two years ago the elevator had broken down. Two years ago she had given birth in the elevator to two tiny, pink humans. Two years ago Del's life was much quieter and simpler and now...
"MA! Wanna pony," Abby Celia demanded pointing up at one of her father's many horses. Del didn't know how he acquired so many, he didn't really like people let alone prancing animals and Asher's horses pranced a lot. "Ma! Wanna pony now."
Looking down at her daughter, Del bent down to Abby's level and looked at her seriously. Abby scrunched up her face, stomping her foot before she took in a deep breath as if to scream. Del's eyes went wide before she immediately pressed a finger to her lips.
"Do you want to play with Reynald instead?" Del said as Abby considered her question.
"Wanna play with Reynald," Abby Celia said happily wandering off to find new friends to play with. Abby turned and smiled at her mother. "And wanna pony."
"Ma?" Del turned looking at her quieter child, her more serious son and smiled at him.
"Let me guess, you want a pony?" Del asked as Daniel shook his head.
"Hug please," Daniel said as Del looked at him happily and hugged him tight.
"You can have all the hugs you like," Del said brushing his hair back from his face. Kissing his chubby little cheeks happily, Del looked around at the party and smiled fondly at some of her friends. "Why don't you go ask your friends for a hug?"
"Kay," Daniel said softly as he wandered towards someone with his hands outstretched.
Two years ago today Del hadn't known what happiness was for the longest time. Now, she remembered exactly what it felt like. Now, she truly was Delight.
