"Ahuh, although not the Mister Bobo." Coraline explained, tucking the lead into her back pocket. He was okay for now but Coraline worried about the crab or giant squid or boar eating him alive. He really was tiny. "I don't know, I think we could try and teach him. Do you like him? Danny gave him to me."

"I bet he probably could. I think I'm supposed to teach him sensible things though first like not chewing Jake's stuff or doing his business inside the house." Coraline said making a face at doing boring things. Coraline had to stick with it though otherwise Danny would never talk to the council for her and that was the most important bit.

"Just like the real Mister Bobo," Coraline said smiling at the idea. Danny said Bobo and her had to be alright, he had said nothing about Bobo not being a circus dog. "Do you think we could do it in six months? Then Bobo could skateboard and really impress Danny and then he'd have to say to the council that I'm okay to live on my own."

"I know, we tended to move about too. Never really had that many friends. What was it like? Living in a circus?" Coraline asked curiously. "Dick, he was sort of like my brother. He grew up in a Circus, he was brilliant."

"I never thought it would be lonely. Proper school is okay but the other kids weren't-" Coraline made a face. Coraline had always been the odd, curious girl constantly asking questions or making up stories. No one had wanted to be her friend and when she did make friends, she moved. "School here is much nicer. The people here are nicer."
