It's taken Karen a while to get everything in place. Last week, she discovered that she could climb one of the trees just opposite the compound and overhanging the boardwalk. That evening, she'd sat up in it until Rollie told her to come down. A few days after that, she'd discovered the water-balloons forgotten in the corner of Miss Charlie's craft-box. She'd asked if she could have them, and Charlie had looked at her a little bit funny but she'd let her have them in the end.

It's taken Karen three trips up and down the tree to get all of the balloons up there.

Back up in the tree, she settles herself in the fork of two branches, makes sure that her bum is wedged in good and tight. She picks up one of the balloons and weighs it in her hadns, careful not to pop it. On the ground, ShorHor looks up at her miserably.

"Go and hide!" says Karen peering down at him and then glancing along the path. "Quick, ShorHor!" Somebody's coming."

On the ground, ShorHor sighs and, a moment later, traipses off into the undergrowth.
Karen takes aim.

ooc: it's up to you to decide whether the dropped balloon hits your pup or not! The eight year in the tree is in plain sight.
