She didn't trip and fall, or ruin her dress this time. She didn't run or go looking, refusing to accept the truth. She knew when she walked out of the dojo that they were gone. It was much too silent for this time of the morning. Much too empty. There was no point in denying that they were gone. Roxas and Zack would never have gone somewhere and vanished without telling her first. They were gone.

The island rushed into the vaccuum, as if it meant to comfort, or to seek comfort, if only she could still hear.

She didn't stop to look in their home. She simply walked away from New Wutai. She hadn't known they were gone until they were silent in the morning, so she hadn't felt their lives pass from the island. It made her feel more than alone -- she was blind and deaf, wandering aimless through the island by memory, seeking in vain for the peace and comfort she used to feel in the unicorn circle.

There were no magnificent horses in the clearing this morning, and she collapsed to her knees, leaning against a tree among those ringing the grass and flowers. There was no peace to be found this morning, only silence.

Roxas and Zack weren't sent back home to the people who loved them, like Cloud and Yuffie. Their missions in their worlds were finished. They had moved on to their next life, their next world. They moved on, yet she remained. So their paths diverged now.

She would never see them again.

Aeris shifted, and pulled her knees up to her chin, turning emerald eyes from the blue sky above. She would find peace in knowing their journey would continue together, and in knowing Roxas would always remain a part of Sora, when she saw Sora. She would, but she missed them so much. To see Zack again had been a precious gift -- a chance to find their way to their natural completion without Shinra's interference. But now he would not be waiting in the Lifestream.

Their paths diverged, but oh, how she wished she could have gone with them! She always knew her path with Zack must one day diverge, but she had hoped...

Tears fell free against reddened cheeks, wresting themselves free of her control. How long since childhood had it been since she truly wept? Yet, in the endless silence of the island this morning, there was nothing less she could do.

[OOC: Aeris' reaction to Roxas and Zack joint-drop. Unless you know her, or were friend of Roxas and/or Zack, it's not the best time to meet her, but any support will always be welcome, and may provide a glimpse and knowledge of a different side of Aeris]
