As much as Jo liked the warm weather, she had been excited when it got colder for December again. Okay, so it had been horribly cold, especially in comparison to the warmth before, but she was used to it by now. It helped that it came with snow on some days - the cold was worth it when there was snow to go out and play in. And the buildings looked great and there was even a train!
So Jo was happy and even more so when she found the trampoline had changed into an ice rink. Some time spent with the clothes box produced golden skates that sparkled in the light. It fit with everything else being colourful, aside from her coat, which was the long, brown one she'd been wearing when she arrived. On its own that wasn't warm enough, so she had also found herself a brightly coloured scarf, gloves with fingers that were all different colours and a brightly coloured hat to match the scarf. Although the hat had plaits that ended in bells, so she tinkled when she walked.
It had been a while since she last skated, so stepped onto the ice carefully. After going around it a couple of times, keeping close to the edge in case she fell, she felt a little more confident. A few more times around and she was getting faster. She wasn't quite confident enough to try any tricks, mostly because she'd never mastered anything more than going forwards. Going ice skating when she was a child had been a rare treat and there hadn't been much time for it once she started working for UNIT. So she was determined to make the most of it now, especially since she had more time now that she couldn't work in the garden when it was frozen.
Skating was also useful in that it was making her warm and she was contemplating taking her jumper off when she spotted someone approaching and she skated over to the edge to call out a hello to them.
ooc: Great time to meet her. She'll try and convince anyone who comes along to come and skate, but if they really don't want to, she'll happily stop and talk.
