I've never seen a dog hate water so much before.

Eugene isn't the first dog I've owned. There was always one around when I was growing up, finishing up the ideal sort of life everyone strove to have. It was all pretty much a front for a family that had a lot of problems, but if there was something that was always one constant. It was strange how they're even a constant here now.

Eugene is my first small dog, though. I've never really bought the idea smaller dogs are that much different until Mikal got her. It's been twenty minutes since I brought her to the waterfall to give her a back, and where my other dogs would've jumped at the chance to go swimming, Eugene just stood on the shore, yapping at me and whimpering because the water between us prevented her from getting to me.

I waited a little while to see if she'd eventually work herself up to coming in. When that didn't happen, I head out to see if I could just take her and bring her in with me. She dashes off the minute she sees my plan, leaving me to shout her name as she bolts away. I move a little faster to try to catch up with her, now, not really wanting to think what would happen if I manage to lose her into the jungle.

[OOC: Blocking or catching Eugene would be v. helpful, yes. Good time to meet Zia, really, too. Dated earlier in the day.]

ophelia, mikal, zia, ned
