Wednesday morning and she was still stuck in this hellhole. If it wasn’t her doctor (ugh, she had a doctor. How low could she sink in this fucking place?) making sure she didn’t leave, it was Asher watching her like a stuffed hawk, twitching half out his chair every time she moved a muscle. Even glaring at him - constantly - hadn’t shifted his ass ( Read more... )

Stephen wandered in, humming to himself. He went straight to the counter and started searching for little things, like band-aids or whatever the hell else doctor's rooms had. He was ignoring any and all actual people in the room just fine, what with his years of experience doing just that and all.

Not seeing Stephen, or anybody else for that matter, every day for the past week wasn't a pleasure that had been lost on Danica. It was almost enough to put her willingly back into the bed and she didn't dismiss the idea entirely when she saw him walk in.

"No grapes?" She'd prefer something sweeter but it was Stephen. Apparently even a hello was too much for him.

Someone actually talking to Stephen made him jump. He whirled around, ready with an excuse for why he was trying to take things, and then noticed who was speaking.

Oh. Great.

"What? Huh? Grapes? Why?"

Just because Danica was allowed to be self-absorbed, didn't mean those around her were as well. She leveled a steady gaze on Stephen and didn't bother wasting her time or breath on giving an actual answer. Was he blind?

"Oh look Celia, aunty Danica is trying to escape. I wouldn't do that if I were you, they stick you with all kinds of drugs and then make you sleep forever and ever and ever." Del said, holding Celia in her arms and making the small child wave at her aunt. Celia, who had yet to master the art of recognising people or coherent speech, simply replied 'Da!Da!Da!Brmmmm!' at her aunt. "You look like you had fun. I'm jealous. Asher never ties me up. Maybe if I ask him nicely?"

It looked like Danica's hope and dreams that Delirium had been crushed by a meteor/torn to pieces by a bear/sliced 'n diced by Asher while she was stuck here, in the clinic, had successfully been squashed.

"No need," Danica forced out through gritted teeth, gaze purposefully turned away from mother and daughter. "I'll do the honors myself. Even throw in the kid for free." And then stuff them in bags, add a few rocks, and watch them sink into oblivion. "Now fuck off."
