Emmy's getting better at the idea of having a little brother or sister. At first, Eddie and Lily had had to deal with a few tears before bedtimes, an explaination that they could have two children and love them both (And Lily's mum had had five) but, as the days went by, the first trimester well and truly over, Emmy's starting to get used to the idea.

Today, they're playing Mommies and Daddies.

Sitting in the grass outside the compound, Lily's taking it easy. Her mother always said that children were impossible to deal with on windy days, and, thankfully, Emmy's finally calmed down, playing with her dolls, talking away too low for Lily to really hear her. She's got a definite bump now, more clear when she rubs her hand over it and rests her hand there.

"Mum?" She looks up from her book and raises both eyebrows. Emmy's standing in front of her with a baby doll cradled tenderly in her arms.

"What is it, kidlet?"

Emmy puts on her best sad face.

"She fell over."
"Oh, dear," says Lily, shutting her book but keeping her place with her thumb. "What're you going t do about that, Em? You're her Mummy. What do I do when you fall over?"

She thinks about it for a moment, little face turned up towards the sky.

"Daddy always kisses it better."

Lily can't help but smile. Yeah, two of these is going to be kind of nice.

"Sounds like a plan, kidlet."

ooc: Lily and Eddie have been a little reluctant about telling anybody but family about the baby so far, but LIl has started to show, so you can feel free to have your pup make the assumption!
