It was Jo's first night back on the island after being home and she couldn't sleep. Technically she hadn't been anywhere, at least that's what everyone told her, but it felt like she had and that was the important part. It was a reminder of everything she'd had at home and could have again, and now she had to go back to this. Not that the island was that bad usually, except when she lost friends and that made it seem so much worse than it had a few days ago.

Giving up on sleep, especially as it wasn't really dark outside any more, she got out of bed and went to the kitchen. The floor was cold under her bare feet and the long sleeves of her pyjamas got in the way a bit, but she still managed to get herself a glass of water. Since sipping it didn't make her feel any better (and really, why should it?) she wandered into the rec room.

For once it was empty, although given the time of day it probably wasn't that much of a surprise. Deciding that as she was up she might as well be productive, she set her glass down on top of the piano and started playing Amazing Grace that Sean had been teaching her and she was supposed to be practising anyway. There was a bit that she could never get to work and she played it a few times until it did start working. But then she started from the beginning of the tune, got to that part... and paused. She sighed and started again, but that bit was back to not working again. In the end she pressed all her fingers down on the keys, making an awful noise.

She'd been concentrating on playing so hard she'd almost forgotten where she was, so when, for no obvious reason, the jukebox started up, playing the same song she'd been trying to play, she jumped because she hadn't heard anyone else come in. But there wasn't anyone anywhere near the jukebox, which was playing Amazing Grace perfectly, of course, because it was a recording. The jukebox was just the last straw and her resentment of the island turned into momentary hatred and she flung the glass at the jukebox, not doing any damage to the jukebox at all, but breaking the glass and making the floor wet.

ooc: Timed to early this morning. Despite appearances, it's never a bad time to meet her
