The Wheels on the Bus

It perhaps wasn’t the strangest thing Frank had ever found in a shower cubicle. He finished wrapping the towel around his waist, brows knitting together as he stepped back. The yellow door disappeared from view and he waited a few moments before stepping forward again.

Yep. Still there.

Back and forth, back and forth, eyes narrowing further each time. Maybe it was a good thing he’d never been awarded the MacArthur Foundation genius grant - if they knew he was seeing things he wouldn’t have even made it onto the list. He could have sworn it hadn’t been resting there, propped up against the wall, when he’d gone into the shower ten minutes earlier. And yet…

“…Anybody lose their door?” Frank asked the empty room, scratching the back of his head as he looked around him. He knew perfectly well which vehicle the door belonged to but it couldn’t hurt to check. Even for the sake of his own sanity.

Dressed but no less confused, Frank climbed the remaining basement stairs, arms wrapped around his door. He had already tripped twice but there was no point in waiting for Asher’s sister to help, even if she was just sat on a bed looking at old bits of paper.

Once he had heaved it into the middle of the Rec Room, he leaned against it, catching his breath.

“Stay,” he ordered, wiping the back of his hand over his forehead. He kind of wanted another shower but dreaded the thought of going back down there and finding the rest of the VW bus. It might have saved his life at home but lugging that up the stairs would definitely be the death of him.

[ooc: Door looks like this. The rest of the bus is on the island somewhere! Feel free to have had your pup see it (anywhere) on their way into the Compound and mention it to Frank, if they want to. Its engine is kaput. Oh, and it’s missing a door :D ST/LT welcome, open til after homeplot too in case your pup is sleepies]
