dancing with myself, oh oh oh-oh

It wasn't often the jukebox chose to torment Fred while he was in the rec room, mostly because when it came to music he was largely un-tormentable. It sometimes played the Weird Sisters, but thankfully seemed to find Celestinia Warbeck as torturous as Fred did, at least judging based on the fact that he hadn't heard her screechy warbling once since coming to the island.

Small favours, and all that. He wasn't complaining.

Today he'd come to practice some of the card tricks he'd been teaching himself, and had three decks spread out on a table before him, when the jukebox whirred and clicked to life, beginning an unfamiliar song with a terribly catchy beat. Well it was time for a stretch anyway, he thought as he got to his feet, his head bopping a little with the music as he moved around the room. As the pace picked up he started drumming his fingers lightly on his legs, and soon after that his arms began moving a little, elbows sticking out as his body jerked from side to side.

By the time the first chorus came in he'd dropped all attempts at nonchalance and was dancing full speed ahead, whirling around the room throwing himself here and there with little regard for what (or who) might be in his way.

[the song fred is dancing to is take on me by a-ha. pups who've seen "love actually" might notice some resemblance between his dancing and hugh grant's, but that's not fred's fault. feel free to have your pup interrupt, get tripped over, or spectate til the song's over, whatever you like.]
