Ellen strode into the kitchen, dribbling a basketball casually a couple times before letting it drop to the ground, rolling it to a careful stop against the kitchen cabinets, nudging it with her foot to make sure it wouldn't roll away. She wasn’t typically one to change up her usual routine when it came to training, so this was more casual, just letting her mind wander while she shot free throws, three pointers, and layups. She’d gone for her normal run early this morning, but she’d felt like being a little active after lunch. She had let time drift by, letting the late afternoon sun shine through the open doors in the gym.
She reached up and grabbed a glass from the cabinet, dropping ice cubes into the glass. The tray was empty, so she filled it up, sliding it back into the freezer carefully before turning back to the sink to fill her glass with water. Tossing the basketball around was a nice change of pace from her usual training, but what she really missed was football. Touch football in the summer, backyard pickup games on Thanksgiving, NFL football on television… She just missed it. But for now, basketball would have to do. She tapped open the faucet, rolling her head from side to side to stretch her neck as the water filled her glass, the ice clinking softly.
[Come one, come all!! Old friends, new faces, the works. Find her whenever you'd like; she's in a good mood, open to either more basketball or a water break. Slowtime and late tags definitely welcome.]
