Carson should have known that the second he'd decided to head up to the compound early for his clinic shift that something would go awry. He'd been in his hut, going through more of the translations from the wraith device Teyla'd had when she'd been on the island. The bit he was currently on was particularly dense, and admittedly, frustrating. After going over the same line ten times, he figured that it'd be better if he looked at it with fresh eyes in the morning.

So Carson had packed up a few things to take to the compound, and no sooner had he grabbed his bag and started to head out the door than Evel began whining to be let out and walked.

"Alright, fine," Carson said, complying. Besides, it wouldn't take but a moment.

But after fifteen minutes of watching the dog sniff around, he was beginning to grow frustrated. They'd nearly left New Atlantis, and were about to pass the control chair and head up the path.

"Would you get on with it already? Some of us have places t'be you know." He finally said.

Evel looked up at him with round eyes, just before wandering over to the control chair, lifting up one leg and finally getting it over with.

Well, that figured, didn't it?
