May 06, 2009 14:06

Whistling while he worked, and more than a little bit happy to be feeling like his old self again, Dale printed up the now-familiar notice and tacked it up on the notice board.

I stopped at the bulletin board. It was election time already?

I picked up the pencil. Hmm...

Monet glanced at the name before taking the pen and signing beneath it.

Seconded.

As he did with every election process, Joe headed by the nominations sign-up sheet, grabbed the pencil and quickly wrote, Dale Cooper.

Chase lingered by the board long enough to write only one name:

Ianto Jones

Jane's script was small and neat, easy to read by anyone near:

Carwood Lipton
The Doctor
Glen Bateman
Anne Boleyn

Buck's more than happy to stop by and write a quick Carwood Lipton - Seconded because if the man's made for anything, it's responsibility.

The Doctor looked at it, for a long time, then wrote declined next to his name and initialed it. He didn't deserve it.

Hell, he didn't have time, deserve or not.

It doesn't take longer than a minute for Buck to drop by the notice.

After a brief moment of hesitation, Gaius lifted the pencil to the paper and wrote, Seconded, under Kara Thrace's name.

Despite their encounter only a few days ago, or perhaps because of it in accordance with the knowledge she had gained of those few days, Briony found herself taking up the pen.

Dick Winter -- Seconded

Kara stared at the notice. Her name was there. Right there, in handwriting she recognized but couldn't quite place. Given the name above hers in the same scrawl, Kara was guessing Buck.

She stood there, a small laugh of disbelief escaping her as she raised the pen to scribble her nomination out.

But Kara didn't. Nervously, she let the pen fall again. Between her daughter, the Support group, and everything else she'd experienced on the island, maybe she had something to say after all.

Stepping back, Kara decided to think it over. If, come nightfall, the idea still filled her with an uncertain panic, she'd come back and decline. And then find Buck to shove the pencil up his nose.
