Because happy is what happens When all your dreams come true!

Everything was perfect! There were streamers in pink and green and yellow and punch and refreshments. Elphaba had found another dress in Glinda's closet that was Just Perfect as well--perfectly pink with satin and beading and ruffles. She and her friends had worked very very hard on this party and she just knew it was going to be the best one ( Read more... )

"Ohhhh." Morgan looks around, eyes big and wide with de...de...happiness. She claps her hands together and bounces on her toes. It's perfect. The party is swankified splendiferous just like Elphie said it should be and Morgan is SO de...HAPPY for her.

Delirium's name used to be that other word but she can't remember it even though her boobs tingle. She's not going to try either because she'll just get a headache or get sad. Then she'll cry and her face will be blotchy and ugly and red only looks good in a dress not in blotches on her face. And, she doesn't know very much but she knows red doesn't match lavender.

And she has on a lavender dress. Cam likes lavender dresses on her. Even if he's not her boyfriend anymore. Maybe she'll get one. Maybe Harry will be here. He might like lavender. She'll ask him. If she remembers. Her dress isn't AS pretty as Elphie's but it's Elphie's party and another thing she knows is you're not supposed to outshine the bride. But her dress is pretty anyway, and she likes it ( ... )

"MAGGIE!!!" Elphaba squealed and then clapped her hand over her mouth as her best friend fell over. She caught her and tumbled right over with her as the other woman's taller form just knocked her right off balance. "Whoops! Are you okay, Maggie?"

"Ow." Morgan rubs her side. Her best friend has sharp elbows. Like pokey sticks. That makes her laugh. Pokey sticks in a pink dress. She can't stop giggling even though she and Elphie are tangled up in a heap until she has to clap her hands over her mouth.

Hiccup. She giggles more. Hiccup. Hiccup. "Oh-hick-no-hick, hick!" Her eyes when she looks at Elphie are as big and round as saucers and soon she's laughing and hiccuping so hard she can't breathe.

Truthfully, he didn't actually recognize the spinning woman at first--and given the last spinning woman he'd come across, he hesitated for a few moments before shrugging off the concern, and making his way toward her. He'd just registered who it was, when she lost her balance and careened into him.

Fortunately for everyone involved, his reflexes were faithful, and he was able to catch her by her shoulders and steady her before her crash could potentially unbalance him, or send either of them into unsuspecting people.

"Careful there, Sugar, or you'll pass out.?

Tripping and flailing her arms every which way, Morgan ends up with her arms wrapped right around someone's neck and her nose pressed against it too. "Oh! Thank you for catching me!"

She wriggles up closer, breasts tingling. She's forgetting something. Or maybe it's about sex. Since it's not raining. Maybe it will rain later. The man she has her arms around feels very nice so she hopes it won't rain or the party might be canceled. Oh no, the party can't be canceled. It's Elphie's party and Elphie's her best friend EVER.

No crying, Maggie. No crying or your eyes will get red. No one likes that.

She breathes in deep and feels much calmer. "You smell good," she says, looking up to see who it... Her eyes get very very big and her mouth makes a round 'o'. "You...um..." What should she say? "Hi."

Whatever had come over Morgan--which was possibly the same thing that had come over a few others he'd encountered--she was undeniably adorable. If it was something island-inspired, he fully intended to never let her live it down. If it wasn't, all the better.

He offered her a small, amused smile. "Hey there, Sweetheart. You alright?"

Morgan bites at her bottom lip, eyes very wide and soft. In the movies, that would make him want to kiss her. But she's not sure she wants him to. She swivels her head around to look for Elphie or Tim or Daniel or Monet or Dick or Bill or Harry or Veronica or Jaye or anyone who could tell her whether it's okay to want to have babies with your ex-boyfriend.

But they're all very busy or maybe they're not here. She wishes she had her sangria-thing that has two As on. Holding it helps her think but it doesn't go with a lavender dress. Dick said Tim would keep it for her. But now she wants it.

"I...guess so," she says quietly and a little confused. "I mean. I didn't hurt myself because you caught me. You always used to catch me. You're good at catching people. Harry's good at catching people too." She brightens, eyes lighting up again and smile growing wide. "That's because you're heroes, isn't it?"

He really did cut that heroic knight look, didn't he? Well, he'd saved the galaxy more than once, hadn't he? Practically single-handedly. Apparently that made him rightfully a hero, and worthy of swooning women. Well, that worked for him. Whomever 'Harry' was, he was apparently not around at the moment, so it didn't really matter to him just now if there was someone else capitalizing on his hero thing.

"That's absolutely it, Gorgeous." He provided her a properly Heroic smile. "As long as I'm around, you can bet there'll always be someone to catch you, too."

If she was going to be overly dramatic? He could out-dramatic her. Presumably, he still had more pop-culture knowledge at his disposal than she did.

"Thank you," she says, because that's polite and Elphie would want her to be polite, but...

Now her tummy feels all fluttery and wrong and her boobs are so tingly she can't think at all! It really isn't much use when they tingle for so many reasons. Three. Sex. Rain. Forgetting. But she doesn't know which is making them tingle now.

But Cam is being so nice to her. Nobody's this nice. Except Elphie and Monet and Jaye and Veronica and Dick and Harry. Cam's being much nicer. He might even want to kiss her and have sex with her like Kon did. Before Tim stopped them.

"Do you really think I'm gorgeous?" The words just pop out and her hand flies up to her mouth. She didn't mean to ask that.

Oh, he almost wondered whether she were just being overly cute on purpose now, or if it was a part of her disposition. In the end, it didn't matter. The worst she would do was revert to Ice Queen and kick him out of the party--she wasn't the violent type.

"Sweetheart, haven't I told you that many times before?" He squeezed her shoulder in a show of affection. "You're stunning."

Morgan tilts her head and looks away, down at her shoulder. He thinks she's pretty. As pretty as Elphie and Monet and Jaye and Veronica? Oh, and Jill! "Jill's stunning too, then. Since she looks just like me."

That makes her frown. Not because Jill's as pretty, but she hasn't seen Jill for such a long time! Where is Jill? She should be here at this party. She's one of Morgan's very best friends.

"Do you want to kiss her? You used to want to kiss me. Do you want to kiss me now?"

The comment about Jill got him wondering briefly whether she'd experienced a similar change of heart as Morgan had, and just what his chances were at managing to land inter-dimensional twins--provided he played the Hero thing just right. Now there'd be a hell of a thing. He'd have to have a talk with Carolyn. If she could pole-dance like that, he doubted she'd object to mixing things up. Even if she might, she owed him one.

Regardless of that...tangent, he offered Morgan what he felt was, personally, one of his more dazzling smiles. "Babe, I can think of no one I'd rather kiss now than you."

If pattern held, he doubted he'd need any further prompting, but he figured it wouldn't hurt his whole...noble image to nudge her chin upward, in convenient proximity to his own. It was better than allowing for the possibility of a random flash of color across the lawn distracting her. With the way Morgan--and several others--had been acting, he truly would not have discounted that possibility just then.

Between one blink and the next the armful of pretty, dark-haired woman was replaced with a slightly shorter, infinitely less willing personage who glared up with cold blue eyes. Tim had been looking for Dick, had not intended to interfere or nursemaid Morgan in any way. But there were limits, damn it. And there were lines. And he wasn't going to allow anyone else to take advantage of his friends again.

She was behind him now, one of his arms curled protectively around her, his other hand lifted up to push Cam back if that became necessary. "The lady's taken," he said flatly.

Morgan blinks. Then blinks again. One second she's looking into Cam's eyes waiting to get kissed and the next she's behind someone short and bossy. Her hands go on her hips and she frowns and stomps her foot. "You're a stickler!" she says, face screwing up. Her boobs don't even tingle, she's so angry. "Lex is right. You don't want to me to have any--"

Oh. He... "I am? I'm taken? By who?" She wraps her arms around Tim and hugs him. "Who is it? I have to tell Elphie right away! Maybe I can get married in her wedding with her!"

Well, someone was defensive. Wasn't that kid the shrimpy one from months before? Given from Morgan's reaction, it looked to Cameron like the kid had taken a shining to her, and was using the island games to his advantage as much as the cold blue glare accused himself of it.

Well...hypocrites did hate themselves most, after all. The thought smoothed his initial confusion and annoyance into a dryly amused smirk. He didn't need to land Morgan--it wasn't as if she'd be anything new, nor as if she was the only one around, or that he couldn't just try again later--but he wasn't about to let the kid off completely without harassment.

"Yeah, sure she is, kid." He arched an eyebrow. "Care to enlighten the class?"

Tim looked up at Cameron a couple of beats longer then, "No."

He turned away and slipped his arm around Morgan, hugging her gently. "Let's go find Elphie, okay? I'll bet you and her have a lot to talk about." For her his voice was calm, friendly. He sounded like a teenager instead of an immovable force.
