It was a gallant show of trust that Glitch actually got to do the laundry for once. Not that he could blame Cain for making him avoid the machines - they were fascinating for one, and taking one apart would probably get him in trouble. The other more obvious problem was that whole half a brain thing and sudden short-term memory loss that could pop up and make him ruin the entire load.

Glitch sat proudly on top of the washing machine, a book on the basics of electricity (he wanted to figure out why it was supposedly so much better than what they had back in the O.Z.) in hand. He was even cleaning his own clothes, and he'd compromised with the evil clothing box enough to be sitting in one of those weird short-coated suits since walking around in bright blue pants hadn't really appealed to him.

When he finished the chapter he was on, Glitch hopped down to pull out the sheets, and couldn't help but frown a bit.

He was pretty sure they'd gone in white, not pink.

After fishing his red and black shirt out, he paused, and looked back at the clothes box. The bright blue pants were still on top...

He shrugged. "Green's better than pink," he said, tossed the pants in, and sat back down on the washer after turning it back on, picking up where he'd left off in the book.

["Slowtimed" is an understatement.]
