With the current debacle occurring, Peter has been undergoing his own transformative period. After all, he's no stranger to murder, but he is a stranger to being a boyfriend of a man whose home has just be riddled inside and out with bullets. He's already done the courteous thing in offering a place to stay, but now he's fraught with the most minor of problems.
What does he do, exactly? He's never been the boyfriend? Peter's fairly sure no one's called him a boy in years, really. Rather than being sensible and turning to people for help, he's decided to self-medicate, if you will.
That's why Peter is standing at the bookshelf and inspecting the likes of which he would never have found in the old used bookshop down the road in Venice. How To Be A Good Boyfriend and Who Really Rules The Roost? and yet, Peter can't seem to find the text labelled, Dear Peter Smith-Kingsley, here's a list of do's and don't's. Don't fuck it all up.
He sighs as he shelves yet another hopeless waste of time and pries out yet another book. No relationship is the same, per se, but he's always figured there's a barebones to it. Every piece of music has the clefs, the scales, the time, the key signature. Which you select is all up to you, but they're all there. Now he just needs the handy How-To that tells him what those are when it comes to relationships so he can go about doing them and not just faking it all the time.
