Bill had been rather chuffed with the results of the auction, and was therefore in possibly even a better mood than usual as he stood in the kitchen assembling shrimp and fruit kebabs with his homemade wooden skewers. He didn't even mind that Coraline had won him; she was a sweet kid, after all, and he was fairly certain she would have been a Gryffindor had she gone to Hogwarts. He still hadn't talked to Tonks like he'd wanted to about the apparent crush Coraline had on him; it didn't really bother him, he just didn't want to hurt her feelings somehow.
He had company today in the form of Shari, who was providing the dessert for tonight. Not only was she fit, and fun to be around, she also made a brill cake, so he'd been more than happy to have the contribution. "I saw you did pretty well in the auction," he commented, glancing over at her with a wide smile. "Any idea what you're going to do with all that muscle?"
"Actually," Shari answered from where she was icing one of her famous lemon cakes, "I don't. Well, I know for one person, kinda. But I didn't expect to win time with more than two of them, so I'm a little overwhelmed as to what I even want. It just seemed like a fun thing to do at the time, you know? Bid on your friends." As she set aside the icing bowl, she glanced up to Bill with a smile. "Now, I owe -- Get ready for it -- 262 hours of community service. You'll be seeing me in here a lot." Not that she minded; lacking any other occupation, she already spent most of her days doing exactly that.
"Bloody hell!" Bill exclaimed as he grabbed another skewer. "And here I was thinking 80 hours was high. I reckon I will be seeing a lot of you in here." He set the finished skewer on the serving tray with the rest and started another. The rest of the food - boar stew, pasta salad with vegetables, and rice - was already done and ready to serve up, so once Bill was done with the kebabs dinner would be ready.
