Nathan wasn't sulking, because Nathan didn't sulk. If he looked a bit put out, however, it might have been because for the first time since he'd come to the island he wasn't running for a position on the Island Council. If they'd actually considered upkeep of the compound important enough to place on the Council then he would've been a shoo-in, but obviously what Nathan did wasn't as important as everything else.
Bitterness could only get you so far, though, and Nathan had already cleaned his suite and done his laundry. And Newbie's. And Curtis's (God help him). And Nathan wasn't a damn maid, thank you very much, Nathan had a lot of other redeeming qualities such as actual people skills, and a keen interest in literature. He wasn't going to let some election get him down.
In fact, he was going to do what he always did during elections, even if it was purely magnanimous this time and not for any campaign purposes. Nathan was going to bake. And so an hour after coming to this resolution Nathan was sitting at the kitchen counter with a fresh-baked batch of sugar cookies, each with an 'N' etched into the top.
Because even when being magnanimous, Nathan couldn't quite let go.
