She was back from the wilderness and the exploring. The terrain was wholly unfamiliar and it was not Caprica, it was not any colony she knew. She looked on the land with disdain, finding it tedious to be somewhere new when she had a mission somewhere else. Besides that, her clothes were dirty and her impression overall must have weakened ( Read more... )

Archie had also been considering new clothes and poetentially a hair-cut but he found himself mostly blinking when he saw the woman clad in only a towel. He had no idea what 'Starbuck' meant but it was probably someone's name. If that was indeed the case, he was very glad it wasn't his.

He coughed and made an effort to look anywhere but at her in the politest way he could think of (circumstances being what they were).

"Are you in need of any assistance?"

She found that her teeth were grinding at that voice and as she turned, she set her sights on him. "Well," she murmured, blind fury settled in her gaze. "Captain Adama, we finally meet," she said recounting every story of every mission he led, every Cylon he killed -- him and that father of his.

She slowly circled him, not letting up on her intensity. Lieutenant Thrace might have been lucky enough to kill her. Adama wouldn't have the chance.

Archie blinked and stared at her. "I think... That is, I know there's been some sort of misunderstanding because I'm actually a fourth lieutenant and my surname is Kennedy."

He really did not want to be killed by a woman in a towel and he had no problems admitting this.

"I'd take it as a great kindness if you didn't cause me physical pain of any sort."

This situation would have been highly amusing if it had happened to Horatio.

She gave him a sneer, pressing her back to the wall and crossing her arms, fingers twitching to hurt this man. "Why would I believe you?" she asked in a cold, even tone.

Having taken another look at the book on dinosaurs, I consider my plan again. The real flaw in it was that I do not know who will be coming with me and how patient they were prepared to be. All it would take was one person not willing to wait and things could turn disatrous quickly.

So involved with my thoughts am I that I do not see the woman until I nearly run into her.

"Pardon me, my lady, I didn't..." and I break off as I realise what she isn't wearing. I turn round quickly. "I am so sorry."

Six grinned, crossing her arms and not moving an inch. "Sorry?" she ventured. "You haven't even looked. Why are you sorry?" Gentlemen. The whole place was filled with them.

Why am I sorry?

"What kind of question is that? Would not a man excuse himself for walking in on a lady in your lands?"

It seems like a polite, logical thing to do wherever a person hails from.

She let out a soft 'hmm' sound as she took a step towards him, fingers on his chin to turn his gaze to meet her eyes. "Only the ones who lie to themselves about what they do and don't want to see."
