"That sounds dirty," Logan said, watching as Linus and Dief seemed to examine one another, the exchange quickly ending as the wolf swatted the small pup on the head.
"Fianchetto? It simply refers to a bishop developed to the second square on the file of the adjacent knight," Fraser replied, not sure how that could be seen as something inappropriate. "It's an Italian word. A noun, actually."
"Whatever," Logan snorted, letting the chess book slide off his knee and to the floor. "Look, it's nice of you to offer to teach me an all, but I think I'm just gonna find a book and call it a night..."
Fraser simply nodded politely, doing his best not to look upset. "Of course, my apologies, I didn't mean to keep you."
Logan instantly felt guilty, but that didn't stop him from getting to his feet and looking over the various titles on the bookshelf. His fingers danced across the spines of the books, pausing when he spotted one named 'Absolute Pin'. The spine was a dark red, and at the very bottom was a picture of a single pawn. It didn't look like those heavy strategy books that Fraser had been flipping through though, and Logan raised a brow as he slipped it off the shelf.
It didn't take long to see just what sort of book it was, and Logan grinned as he started to read a passage out loud.
"Check this out, 'Bosoms heaving, Mary contemplated her next move as she watched Chad from across the black and white board. 'You're wasting time,' he said, nodding at the small time piece that sat between them'," the younger man read, pausing to laugh before pressing on. "''Don't rush me,' she purred, sliding her pawn forward one small space and batting her come to bed eyes. Chad could already feel his fleshy king getting harder as she spoke... Across the room, leaning against the heavy wooden mantel, Peter watched, stroking a discarded pawn between his...' Dude! It's a chess three way. Just your thing," he smirked.
Eyes a little wide, the Mountie fussed with his lanyard and glanced away. "That is not the sort of chess book I was suggesting you read. I was thinking something with a bit more strategy."
"...Looks like Peter here has one hell of a strategy," Logan replied, flipping ahead a few pages.
(Open to all, really. And yes it's chess porn for those in the know. Tag Logan or Fraser. Or, if you really want, tag them both.)
