The stage was barely recognizable as just that anymore. Practically from the very moment Geoffrey gave Isabel his permission for the Midwinter Masque to be held on the stage, a small crew of very dedicated people went into a flurry of motion and set out to decorate the stage as grandly as possible. Between The Doctor, Glinda, Evey, Angela, Isabel, and a few people who wandered in and out, the stage now resembled something like the inside of an ice palace, minus the biting cold, of course. Whites, ice blues, and shimmering silvers were abound in garlands and draperies and more, a spectacular ice sculpture of the sun breaking through the clouds in the center of it all. On one corner of the stage, Bill and Moril, as well as a few others, were set up to play music for the masses.
While the stage itself was set for dancing and the like, to one side there were tables laden with food and a seemingly never-ending supply of joie, while on the other side there were small tables and chairs for people who needed to kick up their feet for a while. About the room in various spots were spare masks in case anyone happened upon the party that didn't have time to create a mask of their own.
At the main entrance to the stage, Isabel had placed a small basket for people to place their tokens from Naamah as they came in to attend the Masque. She was standing there when the play began. Dennys Murray did a wonderful job as the Sun God, restoring the youth of the Winter Queen, played with style and grace by Penny Lane. Once Dennys freed Penny of her crone's mask, revealing the beautiful young face beneath it, the festivities were truly ready to begin....
