It had taken Lucy days to find everything she needed to make Susan and Jon a gift for their wedding. She'd borrowed needle and thread, found material she'd thought would work in the clothing chest along with ribbons she'd removed from some items. The flowers had been easiest, those she'd picked earlier that week and dried inside of her room.

"Careful, little miss, don't want to sew your finger right into that start."

Prior had just limped into the kitchen and stopped short of the pantry when he saw the little girl at the table. He didn't have much experience with children, but he did know something about sewing. "Nice colors, by the way," he added. "You obviously have a young eye for design."

"I'm trying not to," she responded a bit indignantly. His compliment made her smile a bit. "Thank you, the options weren't all that good."

"Would you like some help?" he asked, out of wanting to do a good deed and get some karma if nothing else. "I'm a pretty good seamstress, though my eyesight's not so hot right now."

"Would you?" Lucy needed the help, she'd pricked herself more then she'd pricked the fabric. "Aren't you Mr Belize's room mate?"

Prior smiled. "Oh, yeah, that I am. A friend of Belize's, then? He does have a tendency to charm."

He sat down in the chair across from her and leaned his cane against the table.

"He's my knight," she said as way of explanation, "Sir Belize. He let me name your hut."

[priorlives]

"Oh? And what is its name?"

Prior was far too amused by the idea of Belize being a knight. It was on the tip of his tongue to make a comment about how he was already a queen, but then thought better of it.

"It's Galma." Lucy pushed an extra needle and some material over to the man. "I'm Lucy."

[priorlives]

"Lovely to meet you, Lucy," said Prior, "My name is Prior. Prior Walter." He picked up the needle and then added, "Would you mind threading it for me, pumpkin?"

[youngestqueen]

"It's good to meet you too." Lucy nodded and took the needle and threaded it for him, passing it back. "Did you know each other back home?"

[priorlives]

"Yes," said Prior. "We're old friends."

He picked up one of her stars and started to do embroidery around the edges. He didn't have to see closely to be able to do that, so long as he could glance down and be sure that his stitches were going in a straight line.

"You're a very good sewer." Lucy watched him. "Do you like it here?"
