Cecily was wandering about the island when she arrived at the giant waterfall that stood before her. It was such a beautiful sight and yet she could hardly stand it. She loved this island. It was everything she adored about her fantasies, and yet...

Well, something was just missing. As she stared at the waterfall in front of her, her breath became ( Read more... )

It is not every day--in fact, not very many days at all, which is probably fortunate--that Robb and Grey Wind encounter crying girls while coming home from patrol. Grey Wind, concerned, starts trotting toward her until Robb calls him back--some people are more traumatised than others by very large wolves, and he thinks perhaps they ought not make things any worse.

"Are you all right?" he asks, realising it's not a very sensible question.

Cecily heard the man just barely over the crash of the waterfall and the sharp intakes of her breath, but she did indeed hear him. She looked up to find a rather large animal and a man behind it. She stood and brushed off her skirt, which still had a large tear in it from the first day she arrived, and backed a little away from the animal. She wiped her tears and her nose and attempted a smile.

"I am quite...quite unwell I am afraid to say." She looked worriedly at the animal but found it difficult to tear her eyes away from the man in front of her.
"Thank you, though, sir, for asking, I mean." She paused and realized how rude she was being.
"Oh! I am Miss Cecily Cardew. Pray, call me Cecily."

"A pleasure to meet you, Cecily," Robb says politely. "I'm Robb Stark. This is Grey Wind," he adds, gesturing to the wolf, "and he gets a bit worried about people when he sees them upset. I hope he didn't startle you."

"Oh no" She forced her smile wider and continued to wipe her tears. "How very sweet of him to worry." Cecily was not quite sure what to say. She felt awkward and still a bit sad, so she went along with the things she asked others she met.

"What time are you from, Mr. Stark?"

Jim comes out to the waterfall sometimes, the place where he first arrived on this island, even though he's not quite sure why. It's not because he thinks he's going to go home, and it's not that he expects anyone else to show up, it's just a place. A place that means something to him.

There are often other people around, but he hasn't seen anybody like this woman before and he's not really sure what to do now that he has. Jim's not really good with crying girls, but he can't just ignore her either.

"Hi," he says finally, in a moment of relative silence. "Can I do anything for you?"

Cecily was quite surprised to hear a voice coming from behind her. She turned sharply and somwhere in the process of getting up and turning to face him, Cecily lost her footing. With a short scream and an extremely shocked expression, she fell straight into the waterfall pool.

Cecily popped her head out of the water and swam back over to the edge and looked up at the man with an embarassed smile. "Indeed, I am quite wet. Perhaps you might help me from the water?"

She was a little bit wet before, actually, but this kind of wet is a lot more alarming. "I didn't mean to scare you," he says, offering her his hand and bracing himself on the shore.

Cecily laughed as she took his hand was helped onto the shore. Her clothes dragged on the ground, collecting dirt, and her hair dripped everywhere. She attempted to squeeze the water out of her outfit, but it seemed useless.

"You only frightened me a little. I am afraid I lost my footing." She smiled at him. "Thank you, sir. Let me introduced myself, I am Miss Cecily..." She pondered whether to even bother with her last name. "Miss Cecily Cardew."
