Two days had passed since Kara had had her baby. Oh, but that wasn't all that had happened two days ago. Two days ago Sharon had frakking abandoned Helo, leaving him to be the one to spill the beans to Lee about the father of Kara's baby. The situation with Kara had been heated and tense as it was, but adding telling Lee how Leoben, a cylon, was the father of Kara's baby? Tell Lee frakking Adama, who definitely held no compassion for cylons or saw any individuality in them whatesoever, that? While he had a godsdamned gun and Kara was having all sorts of fits on the other side of a stuck door? That had definitely not gone over well with Helo.

For the past two nights he'd slept with his back to Sharon. In addition to that, he'd barely spoken to her, only to tell her something about Hera or to ask a question about their daughter.

After Sharon had gotten Hera fed and ready for the day, Helo gathered up her bag and took the toddler to the rec room so he could look for a few books. He didn't care whether or not Sharon came with them; he wasn't intending to talk to her just yet.

Setting some toys that her uncle Leoben had carved for her -- and a stuffed something-or-other Helo could have sworn John had given her -- down on a blanket, Helo then placed Hera in the middle of it. Once he was satisfied she was content, he moved over to the bookshelf. As Helo thumbed through the books, Hera squealed and gurgled, then began babbling excitedly.

[Hera is 1 yr 1 month and looks like this.]
