Isn't there a joke about a man and a duck?

If anyone had asked, Crowley would have denied it utterly, but at times he had a bit more Good in him than one might imagine1. He solidly blamed Aziraphale for this flaw, and now, his humanity as well. He certainly would never cop to having had certain tendencies towards birds throughout his entire existence.2

These tendencies may have included something quite like him, standing by the pool below the waterfall, watching a flock of fleshy-faced, black and white fowl go about their business of strutting and primping, trying to be the most attractive creature, most worthy of a nibble or two. They may have included something like Crowley tossing bits of bread to the assembled crowd. They may have also included the most vile string of horrid language, blessings uttered under his breath, and bread being hurled at their beaks in an attempt to disorient them, even if he couldn't hurt them. 3

There was no possibilty that he might also have been making duck-like noises or praising the dominant bird that was unafraid to the point that it took a place at his foot and refused to budge. Its call was obnoxious and demanding, and Crowley absolutely did not consider taking the offensive brat home with him as a pet.

1. It was a terrible thing for a demon to do something Good, even by accident.
2. Especially ducks.
3. There was a time, of course, when he'd sink a duck with the wave of his hand. It was a satisfying bit of cruelty, always undone immediately by the angel. Crowley may have done it simply to encourage a bit of the Divine in his foe, but he'd never cop to that, either.
