How do you get home, when you don't have a map, or a compass?

It had been just over two and a half months since Mulan had found herself stranded on the strange island of Tabula Rasa. It had been equally as long since she mysteriously discovered that she could speak their native language (although, 'native' was a very lose term, since no one really seemed to be from around here). She'd arrived injured, and healed, only to be injured all over again.

Finally, her shoulder was healed, her arm was healed, and finally, she'd managed to construct what could affectionately be called a 'modest' hut (but was, in fact, little more than a poorly-built, glorified tee-pee made of bamboo and large palm leaves.) She'd been attending the island's combat classes... though she wasn't sure there was too much of a use for them around here. Everyone seemed so... nice.

Actually, at times, it was a bit un-nerving.

Still, she tried not to think about it. She tried not to think of how long she'd been gone... tried not to think about how they probably would have stopped looking for her by now. Or maybe.... maybe she'd died on the mountain, and this was the afterlife, and they'd already held her funeral.

No. Not possible. If that were true, my Ancestors would have come to greet me... he face fell, as she walked the dirt path. Unless I truly have dishonored them, so much that they wouldn't accept me...

The very idea was enough to make her stomach twist. She tried not to think about it, and continued on her way to the compound.
