(no subject)
When Jon and I finally get around to not playing on the computer we will probably go get lunch at Chuy's. I don't like Chuy's as much as other TexMex places, but they have good tortilla chips, so ok.
I haven't done the lj thing in a while. Work was like supercrazystressful for a while but now I am longer a project lead, for now, so it is back to being something I don't take home with me at night. Woo!
I have a TON of poblano peppers chilling on the plants outside my apartment. I don't know what to do with them. I'm thinking of mixing up some shredded chicken and stuffing the peppers with it and baking them. But that seems like a lot of work. I need to do it before they all go bad.
And the plants are still flowering. So is the bell pepper. I roasted some delicious red bell peppers and put them on burgers a couple weeks ago.
Soon the first frost will hit Austin, and I'm not quite sure what to do with all the plants. The poblanos are so big I have twist-tied them to the railing to keep them from overrunning the walkway. I don't really have enough window space to keep the whole garden inside. Maybe once I harvest, I can trim them down a bit for winter.
And if I bring the mint inside, Ella will eat it. And then I will not be able to make mojitos with it. Mmm kitty spit mojitos.
Ok, plant talk is not helping me avoid how hungry I am. Onward, to TexMex!
