(no subject)
We had some gorgeous fallish weather last week, where it dropped to like 60 degrees and rained. It was lovely. Even Jon turned off his AC, at least for one night.
But now of course it's back to the 80s and 90s. Bah. Still, my poblano peppers think it's fall; they are just bursting out all over. I haven't taken any pictures yet, but there are a ton of little peppers.
Harvested a couple of bell peppers too. The bright red one turned out to have fungus inside (ew) but the beautiful, big green one was delicious. Jon and I roasted it over my gas stove. It made me want to make s'mores. But instead we roasted the green pepper, sliced it up and put it on burgers with blue cheese. Fantastic!
I've been working like crazy the last week or so. Got to go in last night at 1 a.m. for a production push. I am tired today. Still, I worked a little late, then came home and made a very simple and not too great, but passable, pumpkin soup. Also decided to make some chocolate chip cookies, which for once did not come out like little oily piles of delicious goo. They actually look like cookies! Hooray!
Yeah, so, time to put another batch in the oven and catch up on some "Heroes."
