No basements in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Sorry, ain't happening without lots of F-U money. Too much clay in the foundation/bedrock makes building below ground a very risky proposition. Well, I didn't quite make 100 novels read for 2007. I did get a fairly large chunk of fiction reading done. The end results: novels read between 1 Jan 2007-31 Dec 2007 was 67 novels. That's not a bad total ( Read more... )

Finished Patricia Brigg's new Mercy novel tonight (BLOOD BOUND). Found it to be very entertaining and a fine addition to the first Mercy book from last year. Mercy is a Shifter living in a vampire and werewolf evolved world (there are fae too, but they don't get so much bookspace as the other two critter types). I roasted a small duck (first time I've ever done that) and a small turkey breast for Christmas Day dinner. Kept it fairly simple, just stuffed the duck with orange quarters and salted-peppered the inside and out. Just because I'm a bibliophile of wondrous proportions *grins*, I wanna know why DIY/Remodeling/Organiztation shows all ignore books? If they don't ignore them, they get rid of them! Why?
