I recently ordered a couple of books off the internet within the last few weeks. I like places like Amazon.com or Ebay, because you can get a book used for less than $1.00. It's hard to top that. Hopefully someday I'll actually read all of them.
Here's my lineup:
A Small Corner of Hell: Dispatches from Chechnya
The Zimmermann Telegram
Silent Night: The Story of the World War I Christmas Truce
The Iran-Iraq War 1980-1988
The Truth about Syria
The PROUD TOWER
The Hot Zone: A Terrifying True Story (a book about ebola)
In the Wake of the Plague: The Black Death and the World It Made
Biohazard
A few of the books are by Barbra Tuchman. She also wrote The Guns of August, and has receeved a couple of pulitzers. If you keep up with my posts, you know I'm a fan of WWI history.
I started my Chemistry of Hazardous Materials class. I thought it would be about HazMat. Nope, it's about chemistry. This is not going to be fun. I signed up for another class starting in December: Psychology of Disaster. I think I'll like that one.
Well, time to get ready for work. Any book recommendations?
