I was hoping to PM or email you, but you disabled PMing and do not list your email, so this seemed the best way to contact you.
I was wondering, could you please put up a small warning for homophobia? I read the first section, adored it, clicked the link for the next part, and... I'm bisexual and homophobia is not quite a squick, but it still makes me uncomfortable, especially when I don't expect it. So if you could just put a 'minor homophobia' under the warning section, that would be great.
Ack! I'm definitely sorry it made you uncomfortable; I do hope you understand that it wasn't intentional by any means. (... To do that to anyone, I mean. I doubt you thought I'd done it to make you uncomfortable, specifically.) I mean, I'm gay myself, and while it's been a few years since I've been in Chad's situation (... because at twenty-five, I'm so far removed from high school, clearly), I do remember how much comments like that can hurt
( ... )
Don't worry, of course I (or anyone else would) understand that it wasn't intentional.
(To be honest, I'd rather be in Ryan's position-- finding out that the person who is more or less perfect for you swings your way? If only.)
...seeing as I've never seen Glee, I can't be positive? Just, while I sorta agree that nothing major enough happens for it to be a warning, there should be some sort of heads up. For me, it's mostly due to the fact that is fandom tends to gloss over any sort of homophobia (which is part of its appeal imho) so to be brought back to that is jarring.
Though as for rating, I don't see anything wrong with PG-13.
Woo, okay. I mean, I didn't expect it, but I've had a couple of encounters in other fandoms... Chad/Ryan peeps are awesome, though, I mean, I don't think we've had any actual wank over in our sandbox, have we? ... *knocks on wood*
(Hah. I certainly didn't mean to imply that I'd object to being in Ryan's relative position!)
Hrm. I hadn't thought about that with the fandom, but now that you point it out, yeah, we do generally kinda gloss it over, don't we? I'll add a comment to the author's note now.
